Travel guide of Giardini della Biennale1st time in Venice. A nightmare at summer. In spite San Marcos Piazza was fully crowded I managed to take a picture without none.

Beautiful town of Murano in Italy, by far my favorite part of my trip to Venice. The colors of the homes are so vibrant and reflect the character of the city and the people.

After browsing through my photos from Venice I realized that the building and the river reveal the Italian flag.

Midnight. We were on the way back from Piazza San Marco. As we zig zagged through the endless maze of bridges that is Venice, I looked across and everything lined up. The moon was aligned right at the centre of the canal. Just as I pressed the shutter, a speedboat buzzed down the lane. I hesitated for a moment before pushing down on the button.

In rear quarters from Venezia I discovered this small ‘street’. The location attracted me because it is one of the usual streets where the inhabitants from Venezia lives.

After taking a busy ferry from Venice to Burano I managed to escape the bustling crowds of this small island and capture this shot of the vibrant houses on the canal.

I really like this colorful shot of the Burano neighborhood in Venice, Italy because of one specific aspect: the boat driver. There is something about his presence in the photo that brings to life the utility of every other piece of the picture. It shows that Burano isn’t just a pretty place, but a place with depth and life that goes on even when the tourists leave.

Padova has multiple markets, every single day in the main two squares - Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza della Frutta - you can always find fresh fruits and vegetables. Even if this picture it was taken in the early begging of the summer - and there was 31° C - people are still going out to buy fresh food. Do not loose (old) habits :D

Have you ever tryed that feel when you are in the wild and it offers you some insane views that you will never forget? Well this is one of that moment. Here I was in the ruins of a First World War’s fort at 1.908 mt.

I tried to create a “levitation” effect. I put together the different colours of the clothes of my friend with the monotone colour of the sky.

At almost 60 years of age it is not easy to decide to face again the huge adventure that had taken place as a young man. Last fall with my second son I made the decision and together we faced the difficult climb to the Bell Tower of Val Montanaia, the most famous peak of the Friulian Dolomites, and slept in the bivouac that lies just below. The moment of dinner, alone in the immensity of the starry sky, was a magical experience that we will keep in our heart forever.

Life off screen: I’m not a professional photographer, I work as Software Engineer and a screen is in front of me all day long. Photography is a passion, something I’d like to make my full time job, but for now it’s something that relax me and give me a lot of energy. I take my photos during my travels or after work, when I take my bike and I go to the hills, surrounded by nature…in peace.

We did a short road trip to the Dolomites (5hrs driving). We stopped the car almost every 5 meters because of the beautiful landscape. Reminded me to take the time and appreciate what is around you.

It’s always fun to wait for the dark in a tent in the middle of the forest! This was taken this summer during a hiking trip in Dolomites, Italy.

I always dreamed of going early in the morning on touring skis up into the mountains. This year I made this dream come true. We were skiing in and around Cavalese teaching the kids how to ski. One day I rented a second pair of alpine skis and the next morning at 4 am the adventure began. After 3 hrs of skiing, walking upwards to 2300m, I spent the morning on the peak waiting for the sun to come out. Nothing but silence and the freezing cold in this thin air, so peaceful and rewarding. I love it.

I captured this beautiful mountain scape scene while driving through Passo Fedaia in northern Italy. It was early in the morning, and the light was gentle so you could see the layers of the landscape extend out toward the rugged mountains in the back.

Wake up at 4 o’clock in the morning. Take the backpack, prepared the night before and get in the car. About 300km separate us from the destination. We reach the place around 7 AM. All parking lots are free and there is no one around. We walk towards the lake, that is not far from the parking lot and we see a lady who reads immersed in the silence of this magical place. To break the silence only a few birds and the camera shutter that tries to capture that incredible light.

I was skiing whole day with my family and a the and of the day i was just waiting for that perfect shot. I just took a ride and looked at this very spot again and again. I didnt bring my tripod so used my bag. So i set up my camera and bag at the edge of mountain. I took the shot of these amazing lightened mountains in the back. I had to hurry so much because last cable was going at 16:30 and it was alredy 16:20. It ended up as an amazing shot.
